CPA Membership Information

While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball

blindfolded, getting a CPA Membership Card is much easier.

Simply fill out the Membership Application below and forward it to your local CPA League Operator. To find your local

CPA League Operator click here.

Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the CPA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark,

because in the CPA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The CPA wants beginners and novices, because it is the

AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of

nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments.

How does the CPA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win

in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.

CPA Junior Leagues

You must be at least 18 years of age to participate. Some League areas may be restricted to 19 years of age as provincial and Local Laws require. Check your Local League bylaws for age requirements in your CPA area. Teams playing underage players may face penalties. Exception: Junior Leagues, if available, have no minimum age restriction except where local ordinances apply.

In some areas the CPA sanctions an 8-Ball Juniors Division. The Juniors Division is structured similar to the 8-Ball Team format and follows all of the same rules, policies and procedures as the CPA 8-Ball League system.

As a Junior member of the CPA, you will receive the best benefits available to the Junior amateur player. Currently, we do not conduct a national championship; however prizes are awarded to the winning teams at the Local Team Championships.

Some areas may allow parents or guardians of CPA Junior Members to acquire a Junior membership in order to play on the same team at the Junior level; some restrictions may apply. The Team Skill Limit Rule in the Junior Division is 20, which is similar to the 8-Ball 23-rule. The total of the skill levels of the five players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 20.

The membership fee for Junior membership is $15 per year.
